The future of South Cumbria Occupational Health & Safety Group

About the meeting
Sadly, it appears that SCOHSG is no longer sustainable due to a lack of committee volunteers to organise meetings, book speakers and disseminate relevant workplace health and safety guidance from meetings on the group’s web site. SCOHSG currently has a healthy bank balance some of which could be used to reinvigorate the group.
Retired committee members have therefore agreed that it is necessary to hold a Special General meeting to:
- Find out if there are any workplace representative volunteers who are prepared to:
- Form a new committee.
- Help organise joint meetings with South Cumbria & North Lancashire IOSH Community at the Crooklands Hotel near M6 junction 36, or standalone SCOHSG meetings at another venue.
- Update the SCOHSG web site with meeting information and relevant health and safety guidance from meetings.
- If this is not feasible, the meeting will formally close SCOHSG and ensure that the Group’s remaining funds are allocated appropriately.
