Unfortunately Mark Dawson, Principal Inspector Health & Safety (Cumbria & north Lancashire)was not able to visit us this year but he kindly arranged for his colleague, Leona Cameron, HM Inspector of Health & Safety, to attend in his place. She proved to be an able substitute. She gave us an update on HSE’s strategies for 2018/19 including the main objectives of HSE’s targeted inspections and case studies that demonstrated the reasons for recent prosecutions in Cumbria and north Lancashire.
